After a one-hour drive out of Riyadh, we will visit the most famous ancient carving site of Riyadh Province called Musayqirah (which is also known as Graffiti Rock 1). There, people carved texts and drawing of animals and humans which date back up to 8000 years. After another hour of driving, we will explore some wadis surprisingly full of trees and surrounded by mountains where we have found more fascinating carvings on the rocks that we will reveal to you. They tell us about the history of Central Arabia over few millennia, from the ancient time of Green Arabia until the frankincense trade and the conquests by Arabian tribes. We will stop under an acacia tree to enjoy a meal under the shade. We will continue our tour to a unique site with long ancient texts carved by the Kings of Sheeba which we would decipher for you. After admiring that marvelous site, we head back to Riyadh.
